Polish EU membership was of great significance for enterprises that owing to that have gained a broad access to EU funds. Between 2004 and 2006 Poland is supposed to be granted nearly 13 billion EUR from Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund, and in the subsequent budget years, i.e. between 2007 and 2013 the amount will be increased to about 50 billion EUR.

Co-financing support is available to enterprises with both Polish and foreign capital, to companies that carry out projects that fulfill criteria specified in program documents. Support possibilities include among other things projects related to capital investments, employment support, trainings for company management and employees, and consultancy services.

• formal criteria that have to be followed in order to obtain support, including rules for qualifying costs that are eligible for a refund,

• chances for obtaining additional financing for projects carried out in Poland (bank loans, leasing),
